It helps you therefore to recognise and clarify the important connections between what you already know and what you are learning. This course provides opportunities to course participants to have exercises on writing English academic essays that are free from plagiarism. This is conducted by learning elements of academic essays, evaluating texts, and having writing exercises, either individually or in groups. At the end of the course, it is expected that participants can produce English academic essays that are free from.
During your study, you’ll produce your own body of creative work by developing practical skills in the craft of writing, and by learning how this craft relates to the history of literary forms. At UNSW, you'll hone your practical knowledge of creative writing through participation in group workshops.
For help with your writing. If you’d like to improve your writing skills then UNSW’s Learning Centre has an Online Academic Writing Workshop. It covers paraphrasing, summarising, literature reviews, essays and critical reviews. You can do as much or as little of the workshop as you’d like, whenever you’d like.
The course focuses sustained attention on various modes of academic writing that are used in essay writing and shows how these may be deployed to present a strong argument. The course includes analysis of a range of exemplars as well as essays from academic journals researched by students and related to their disciplinary interests.

Align extended writing tasks with learning outcomes. Ensure that assessment tasks are well aligned with course objectives and outcomes. For instance, in an engineering or design discipline, ask for a report on a case study. Or in a communications subject, have the students write a journalistic article rather than a scholarly essay.
Yeah that's what i'm saying. I'm putting in x amount of hours to get a piece of writing that someone with more essay writing quality could pull off in less time, and so if they spent the same amount of time as me, they would have a better essay. I'm thinking of going to the learning centre so i hope that helps.
